The silk sarees or Pattu Saree manufactured and woven from different states vary in designs and styles. Some of the most popular sarees made of silk include the Banarasi sarees, Kanchipuram sarees (Kanchipuram, Kanjeevaram and Kanchi pattu sarees are same), Tussar silk sarees, Handpainted tussar silk sarees, and so on. Tussar silk (spelled as tussah, tushar, tassar, tussore, tasar, tussur, or tusser, and also known as kosa silk) is produced from several species of silkworms.
